Dispatches from Quarantine:
Young People on Covid-19

Young people have always found ways to be heard.

In diaries, letters, and artwork, hundreds of teens and young adults recorded their lives during hard times in the 20th century. Today, their work is studied by historians, published in books, included in films and exhibitions, and used by teachers all over the world.

In the wake of the Covid-19 Pandemic, we wanted to give teens today an opportunity to share their thoughts, too. We began posting diary entries written by young people during historic times in the 20th century and included prompts related to the entry’s theme. Hundreds of teens responded in writing, art, photography, music, or on audio or video. They joined those who documented their lives and whose voices shaped history. We are so pleased and proud to share their work here.
